I've been thinking about using [S][J][P] as a way to record the things I'm reading, watching, listening, or just exploring on the web.
Today, I'll give that a try.
Text (Reading):
(1) This essay on the release of Apple's Liquid Glass from the folks who make iA Writer, which is an app I use every day!
The backlash after Apple launches something new has become tradition. It’s as loud as it is predictable, and the insight you get from first reactions on Social Media is as meaningful as any carnival music.
True.
(2) I'm going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole, which has me reading the articles on scholasticism and neoplatonism.
(3) The book Nightwalking: A Nocturnal History of London by Matthew Beaumont caught my eye. I've not read any of it, but I've added it to a list of books I'd like to check out.
From the description on the back of the book.
We discover how the nocturnal city has inspired some and served as a balm or narcotic to others. In each case, the city is revealed as a place divided between work and pleasure, the affluent and the indigent, where the entitled and the desperate rub shoulders.
Sounds cool.
(4) This description of a Jeffersonian dinner is cool. I found it via a link from Craig Mod on how to plan and then do a walk-and-talk.
(5) This article by Robinson Meyer about the ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ at The Atlantic is amusing & helpful if you want shortcuts for using typing the "Shruggie".
Sounds (Listening):
(1) This single is not out yet, but I'm a fan of Dustin O'Halloran's art and want to hear it when it is released on 7/30!
Sights (Watching):
(1) The Life with Machines Podcast (as videos), which Baratunde Thurston makes, has been interesting.
Cross Over stuff (Some combo of Reading, Listening, & Seeing):
(1) Re: Baratunde Thurston – The personal website for Baratunde Thurston is a very well-designed website
