Ride a Bus & Get University Course Credits?!

Yesterday I posted about the chapter, Everyone Longs for a Master: Lacan and 1968 by Stephen Frosh. I got my hands on a (digital) version of the book this chapter is in and started reading it today.

Very early in the text, I found this:

Judith Miller, who in 1970 provoked its official Governmental disaccreditation by handing out course credits to someone she met on a bus, and subsequently publicly declaring in a radio interview that the university was a capitalist institution, and that she would do everything she could to make it run as badly as possible (p. 100).

Wow!

There is so much interesting stuff in this chapter!
