From the most recent email newsletter Ed Brubaker sent out.

I'll be honest here, in case it's not evident in my work all the time, I've had a pretty bleak view of humanity and the prospects of our future on this planet for a long time. I have had times of optimism, but with global warming/climate change failing to be addressed really at all, and now the war, and threats of nukes, it's just... Jesus.

Anyway, I try to keep this newsletter light and fun and informative, and no one here needs yet another person pulling their hair out (too late) about the state of things, but it feels disingenuous to not acknowledge how fucked the world is right now and how these last few years have just driven the human race (or at least half of it) insane. I don't know how you get through it day-to-day, but for me, I seesaw between reading too much news and then trying to avoid the news completely, and just read comics and books and watch some dumb TV...

Yeah, that's pretty much spot on. Except I don't have time to watch dumb TV. I wish I had that kind of time, but I don't.)
